Clarified butter is without the lactose and other milk solids. It is traditionally prepared by gently heating butter until it becomes a clear golden liquid. The lactose and other milk solids coagulate and are meticulously removed. This process also evaporates most of the natural water content, making the clarified butter light, pure and resistant to spoilage.

Sinaran Syawal Cookies

Ingredients
INGREDIENTS TO BE BLENDED:
  • 200 g​ ​​Flour
  • 30 g ​​​Corn flour
  • 30 g ​​​Almond powder
  • 150 g ​​​QBB GHEE
  • 90 g ​​​Icing sugar
  • 1 ​​​Egg yolk
  • 1 tsp ​​​Vanilla essence
  • Melted chocolate

Instructions
  1. Cream QBB GHEE with icing sugar, add egg yolk and vanilla essence.
  2. Mix together the flour, cornstarch and almond powder, rub into the creamed mixture until it turns into a soft dough.
  3. Rest dough for 10 minutes, roll into 3 cm thickness and cut into round or square shapes. Alternatively, round into balls.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes in a preheated oven at 160ºC.
  5. Cool, then drizzle cookies with melted chocolate.
