Clarified butter is without the lactose and other milk solids. It is traditionally prepared by gently heating butter until it becomes a clear golden liquid. The lactose and other milk solids coagulate and are meticulously removed. This process also evaporates most of the natural water content, making the clarified butter light, pure and resistant to spoilage.

Cashew Nut Cresent Cookies

  • 220 gm QBB Ghee
  • 150 gm fine sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 300 gm flour, sifted
  • 80 gm desiccated coconut
  • 1/8 tsp salt replica Omega watches
  • 25 cashew nuts, split in half
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten for glazing

  1. Cream QBB Ghee, salt, sugar, vanilla essence and egg yolk until light and fluffy.
  2. Stir in sifted flour, and desiccated coconut to combine into dough
  3. Roll out dough in between two plastic sheets to 3 mm in Swiss replica watches thickness
  4. Using a crescent-shaped cookie cutter, shape the dough and place on prepared trays
  5. Brush lightly with beaten egg and place a piece of cashew nut in the centre of each cookie
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 20 – 25 minutes or until golden brown
