Clarified butter is without the lactose and other milk solids. It is traditionally prepared by gently heating butter until it becomes a clear golden liquid. The lactose and other milk solids coagulate and are meticulously removed. This process also evaporates most of the natural water content, making the clarified butter light, pure and resistant to spoilage.

Sinaran Syawal Cookies

  • 200 gm flour
  • 30 gm corn flour
  • 30 gm almond powder
  • 170 gm QBB Ghee
  • 70 gm icing sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 egg yolk – for brushing

  1. Cream QBB Ghee with icing sugar and salt until even.Add in egg yolk and vanilla essence
  2. Add in flour, corn flour and almond powder
  3. Mix well until it turns into a soft dough
  4. Roll to 3 mm thickness and cut into shapes of your own choice.
  5. Brush on top with egg yolk
  6. Bake for 0 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 C
